POMURLO VECCHIO CASTLE

Ref. 449 Pomurlo Vecchio – The enchanting medieval castle Podium Morri, stands on top of the hill overlooking Lake Corbara, along the panoramic road that connects Orvieto to Todi. The castle (about 500 sqm.) has an impressive stone facade structure, a large arcade portal that retains original jambs and lintels, an interesting stone barrel vault inside it, and a lounge with cross vault.
The castle is divided over 4 floors (the last two are inside the tower), all connected internally by wooden stairs. The lounge with cross vault high ceilings, with arched windows, is the value of the entire building with terracotta flooring, a large stone fireplace and an elegant wooden staircase leading to the upper floor. The main door of the house opens in the living room. Along the sides we find the doors accessing the large and bright kitchen and the hallway to the sleeping area composed of a living room, a bedroom, 2 bathrooms and also an outside door that goes out to the terrace.
The second floor includes a sitting room, a large bedroom and a bathroom with terracotta floors and wooden ceiling. The staircase from the living room continues to the attic, composed of 3 bedrooms and a bathroom, a beautiful stone staircase leaves the courtyard and ends into a small terrace with stunning views on the lake and the hills.
In addition to the main house, on the ground floor (next to the Portal), there are 2 self-contained apartments: one studio with kitchen stove, bathroom and a bedroom on the mezzanine, and a two-room apartment with a separate kitchen with a fireplace, a bedroom and bathroom.
